myUTN USB Device Servers

We have updated our SEH UTN-Manager for our myUTN USB device servers!

Users now have several ways to deactivate connected USB devices via the new version 1.2.x of the SEH UTN Manager:

Users can install the new SEH UTN-Manager 1.2.x in two ways:

  • Single-User Version (SEH UTN Manager)
  • Multi-User Version (SEH UTN Manager and SEH UTN Service)

The most significant change is the new Windows service. The SEH UTN-Service is integrated into the Multi-User version of the SEH UTN Manager. This new service is started automatically when the operating system boots, and operates in the background. Users can access the SEH UTN Service via common Windows administration methods.

The SEH UTN Service enables up to four users to simultaneously access USB devices attached via myUTN USB device servers. This turns the Multi-User version into a perfect tool for sharing USB devices. SEH UTN Service enables the allocation of user group permissions for two types of user groups with different sets of rights for each. You can find more information on the SEH UTN Service in the Tech?Update! section of this newsletter!

The SEH UTN-Manager version 1.2.x fulfills the requirements for device driver signing and staging and is now a code-signed application for Windows operating systems. It supports both 32 bit and 64 bit versions of XP, Vista, and Windows 7, as well as Windows Server 2008 R2.
